Terra Dotta Software for ISSS Offices

>>View Presentation Slides

A major goal of higher education is to promote the recruitment and support of international students and scholars.  Terra Dotta software can help you realize that goal by bringing the convenience and reliability of online enrollment to ISSS offices.  This session will show you how to set up and manage applications to degree programs, CPT and OPT internships, scholarships and grants, and visiting scholar programs.

We lay the groundwork with some key questions that will determine how you set up your processes.  Are admissions handled by your office?  Will students be registered in your Student Information System?  Will applicants attend your institution for a fixed period of time, or do dates vary?  We’ll show how these factors affect the student/scholar experience and, on the admin side, what the reporting ramifications are.  Moving beyond the initial setup, we will describe processes such as communicating through batch text messaging, compiling statistics that facilitate SEVIS reporting, and tracking geographic representation of participants over the years.

This session is targeted primarily to administrators responsible for international degree-seeking students and/or visiting scholars and researchers.
