Student-to-Student Marketing: Word of Mouth from a World Away

Do you have trouble filling your study abroad programs? According to a survey by Econsultancy, 90% of people trust recommendations from people they know and 70% trust recommendations from people they do not know. The conclusion? Word of mouth is one of the most effective tools for promoting your programs. In this session, you will learn how to use the alumni phase of your students' application to directly promote programs to prospective students using ratings, reviews, and testimonials from alumni. By asking alumni to review their time abroad, you can share their experiences with students looking to participate in the same program and even make willing alumni available for direct contact through phone or email to prospective students. Full use of the alumni phase can help increase future participation in your programs and cut down on the cost of marketing.
