Using institutional e-learning modules (such as Blackboard) for study abroad pre-departure orientation materials can sometimes present frustrations when trying to include external students. One advantage of using Terra Dotta software for pre-departure orientation material is that it allows one to easily include all participants with applications currently in the system. This presentation, given by Case Western Reserve University, will cover issues to consider when choosing whether to do a pre-departure orientation online, how to create a pre-departure orientation using assessments and learning content, and how to monitor completion of the pre-departure orientation.
